Bear Hunt over Bait

Washington County Maine is one of the top populated areas for bear in the entire state ranking 2nd on the number of harvested bears list. With great feed and habitat due to swamp and marshes, blueberry barrens, and oak ridges our bear population is thriving. With great landowner relations we are able to hunt prime black bear habitat within our local area.

Overview

Black bears in our area are under hunted therefor we have a growing population. Upon arrival Sunday or Monday morning you will move into one of our accommodating cabins. These are mid afternoon to dark sits. Countless hours are spent understanding these bears patterns. You will be hunting in either a ground blind or a tree stand. Silence, stillness, and scent control are key to harvesting these animals. These animals will sneak into 15 to 30 yards of range and present a shot opportunity sometimes without noticing and sometimes slipping away. This sure is a challenge. Maine allows bears to be harvested with rifle, muzzloader, shotgun,

bow, and pistol.
